increasing capacity and performance with EqualLogic’s online load balancing. With
EqualLogic advanced thin provisioning, Exchange mailbox volumes can be preset to
a specific size at volume creation. Physical storage is then automatically allocated
from the free storage pool as the mailbox store grows in size. The benefits are
simpler management of Exchange volumes, more efficient use of physical storage resources,
and the realization of seamless 'buy as you grow' storage purchasing.
Exchange backup and recovery
With EqualLogic's built-in snapshot capabilities and Volume Shadow Copy Service
(VSS) integration, clean snapshots of Exchange mail stores and logs can be taken
instantly and automatically. Any size environment, as well as multi-server Exchange
deployments, can be instantly reset to a previous snapshot to resume Exchange from
a clean starting point; users don't wait for data to be physically moved or copied.
Snapshots can also be mounted as recovery storage groups for easy mailbox and message
recovery. EqualLogic's built in auto-replication capability enables internally consistent
remote copies of messaging data and SAN boot disks. EqualLogic is fully certified
