Q: My business is outside the
U.S. Can I buy the
U.S.
version of the product if I am comfortable with having my data hosted in the U.S.?
A: The Microsoft Business Productivity Online Standard Suite offering is only available
to customers in the United States currently. Customers outside the
U.S.
cannot purchase the Standard offering. The Business Productivity Online Suite —
Dedicated offer is available today for customers with more than 5,000 seats all
around the world (except China).
Q: Since Business Productivity Online Standard Suite is offered through the
Web, will Microsoft be offering global pricing?
A: The Microsoft Business Productivity Online Standard Suite offering is only available
to customers in the United States currently.
Q: Are Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands included in the U.S.-only 2008
launch?
A: Unfortunately, these territories are not included in the initial launch, but
will be a part of a future international launch.
Q: If my company is U.S.-based, but has international users, does that matter?
A: We recommend that only U.S.-based users be provisioned to use services since
the services are provided from Microsoft data centers in the United States only.
The user experience from elsewhere in the world via the Internet may not be optimal.
